Designer Spotlight: Nicole Miller

Lending Luxury is every fashionista’s best friend. Our selection of dresses for rent features a variety of styles from an assortment of designers, making it easy to find the perfect ensemble for every occasion! While our selection includes a variety of fashion lines, one designer stands out as our top contributor. Here is a closer look at our star designer, Nicole Miller:

Nicole Miller was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1952. Miller’s father was an engineer who greatly influenced her ability to make amazing garments. Her mother was a French-born fashionista who loved to dress Miller and her sisters in traditional French fashions. Both of Miller’s parents played a large role in giving her the tools, experience, and passion she needed to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Her parents’ influence also played an important role in developing Miller’s overall style.

Miller followed her stylish dreams and studied fashion design at L’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. Next, Miller successfully studied at and graduated from the famous Rhode Island School of Design. Attending these two prestigious schools gave Miller a unique perspective as well as a mind for both business and fashion. After an internship with beloved dress designer Clovis Ruffin, Miller was offered the title of head designer for dress manufacturer P.J. Walsh.

In 1982, Nicole Miller and Bud Konheim, president of P.J. Walsh, officially established the Nicole Miller Company. Miller opened her first store four years later and quickly became a hit in the fashion world! Miller gained fans by putting emphasis on the cut of the garment, creating flattering shapes and flirty silhouettes that never go out of style. Today, Miller is also a favorite designer of many celebrities, including Brooke Shields, Angelica Huston, Sheryl Crow, Eva Longoria, Susan Sarandon, Angelina Jolie, and Beyonce Knowles.

You can follow in these celebrity footsteps by renting a Nicole Miller dress from the selection here at Lending Luxury! Give us a call at (866) 556-2003 to learn more about our designer dresses.
